Job Summary:
A ZBM Welder is responsible for performing high-quality MIG welding on metal components and assemblies according to blueprints, specifications, and production schedules. This role focuses on efficiency, consistency, and compliance to safety and quality standards in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Set up and operate MIG welding equipment to join metal parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols to determine job requirements
- Inspect welds for accuracy, defects, and conformance to company standards
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools
- Maintain consistent weld quality and production output
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of materials
- Complete required paperwork and unit labeling (IE: Stamping).
- Grind, clean, or prepare metal surfaces prior to welding as required
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
- Responsible to ensure all time spent on the unit is documented via the E2 time ticket process.
- Maintain company expectations concerning productivty, quality and attendance.
- Clean and organize weld area/department according to ZBM expectations.
