Job Summary: 

Primary responsibility will be quality control as a leak tester for welded tanks. Secondary responsibility will be working with prep to prepare welded pieces for painting with the use of a grinder or wire wheel hand held power tools to remove weld splatter. Leak testers will not be responsible for washing prepped items.                                                 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Fill spatter spray and leak test bottles in the morning and as needed throughout the day.
• Follow ingredient list for spatter spray and leak test mixtures.
• Gather leak test and spatter spray bottles in the morning before production begins.
• Use radio for communication with welders and other leak testers.
• Use of proper communication to timely schedule leak tests.
• Complete leak test inspection sheet.
• Maintain high level of attention to detail.
• Spray all welded seams and burn marks during leak tests.
• Follow all leak test procedure forms.
• Work within and as a team to meet and exceed company expectations for productivity and quality.
• Maintain company expectations for attendance.

Job Summary:

Prepare welded pieces for painting. Using grinder or wire wheel hand held power tools - remove rust and debris from welded units.  Remove weld splatter with scraper.  Rinse, apply chemical wash and rinse welded unit.  Dry welded unit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Use grinder to grind off rust from welded units.
• Use wire wheel to burnish nooks and crannies.
• Use scraper to remove welder splatter.
• Rinse welded unit with water.  Apply chemical wash to welded unit and rinse thoroughly with water.
• Use air hose to completely dry the welded unit.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work within a team to meet and exceed company expectations for productivity and quality.
• Maintain company expectations for attendance.

• Read blue prints and BOM Build of Materials.
• Operate Brake Press per manufacture guidelines to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Use tape measure to ensure parts will be cut per specification on blue print.
• Label each part as it is cut with Job number and description per blue print.
• Stage cut parts by job number for material handler to deliver to welders.
• Pro-actively communicate to purchasing inventory needs to complete job numbers.
• Work in a safe manner.                
• Keep your workspace clean and organized.          
• Maintain regular maintenance requirements for Brake Press and Shear Machine.
• Maintain company expectations for attendance.
• Safely move product as needed with various types of fork lift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Understand and utilize company provided schedule.
• Communicate with Prep department upcoming flow to paint booth advised by lead.
• Inspect product prior to painting to ensure it is prepped appropriately.
• Perform minor corrections to prepped product or reject product to be returned to prep.
• Confirm correct paint product for unit prior to painting product.
• Use company painting systems to apply surface coatings to ZBM products to customer specifications.
• Make necessary changes paint primer and catalyst. 
• Outline all corners and hard to reach areas.
• Paint in an alternating pattern either Horizontal pass then vertical pass or vice versa.
• Test Wet Mil Thickness when in booth
• Maintain cleaning and care of paint equipment and respirator.
• Maintain care of paint kitchen.
• Monitor paint and supply inventories.
• Complete forms in the departments.
• Maintain Retain Sample process and documentation.
• Must pass a FIT test for respirator use.
• Assist with training of new hires as directed by lead
• Other duties as assigned to meet production goals.

A ZBM Welder is responsible for performing high-quality MIG welding on metal components and assemblies according to blueprints, specifications, and production schedules. This role focuses on efficiency, consistency, and compliance to safety and quality standards in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Set up and operate MIG welding equipment to join metal parts
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols to determine job requirements
• Inspect welds for accuracy, defects, and conformance to company standards
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools
• Maintain consistent weld quality and production output
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of materials
• Complete required paperwork and unit labeling (IE: Stamping).
• Grind, clean, or prepare metal surfaces prior to welding as required
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
• Responsible to ensure all time spent on the unit is documented via the E2 time ticket process.
• Maintain company expectations concerning productivty, quality and attendance.
• Clean and organize weld area/department according to ZBM expectations.
